RS-20 rocket arrived at Baikonur this night. The rocket was delivered by railway to the Tura-Tam station. After the customs clearance, the train with the rocket was transported to site 75. RS-20 will be unloaded and then kept in storage in the integration facility until the launch campaign.
RS-20 is an intercontinental ballistic missile. Qualification launches of the rocket are carried out each year under the Dnepr conversional program. RS-20 is used to inject small spacecraft and satellite clusters. The rocket is intended to orbit European CrioSat-2 during the upcoming launch, which is scheduled in the first quarter of 2010.
